1. GitHub closes the review gap for agent-authored and very large pull requests

Summary: GitHub expanded Copilot code review so automatically requested reviews of pull requests opened by Copilot cloud agent receive the full agentic review rather than a limited fallback. GitHub also removed the previous 300-file or 20,000-line review ceiling and added explicit resolution reasons—“Addressed,” “Won’t fix,” and “Incorrect”—for Copilot comments.

Why it matters: Agent-generated code now receives a stronger automated review loop even when the change is unusually large. The resolution reasons are also structured evaluation data: they distinguish accepted findings from intentional exceptions and false positives. Removal of a size ceiling does not prove review completeness, so large changes still need risk-based tests and human sampling.

For George’s work: This is a clean example of a human-gated loop: agent produces, agent reviews, tests provide independent evidence, and a person records the disposition. It can support a course exercise on designing feedback that improves both accountability and future evaluation.

2. Warp turns human feedback into reviewable agent-skill updates

Summary: Anthropic published Warp’s pattern for self-improving agents. A task-specific base skill performs work; people leave feedback where the work already occurs; and a scheduled “improver” skill proposes a small edit to the base skill. The change moves through a normal pull-request review before becoming part of later runs. Warp says it applies the pattern to specification, review, and issue-triage agents.

Why it matters: The pattern converts transient feedback into persistent, inspectable procedure without allowing the working agent to silently rewrite itself. File-based skills also support progressive disclosure: the agent loads targeted instructions and resources when needed instead of expanding every prompt.

Evidence caution: This is a vendor-authored customer example, not a controlled comparison. Its strongest contribution is the architecture and governance pattern rather than a generalized performance claim.

For George’s work: It closely matches the Human-Gated Agentic Work model. A reusable “improver” could periodically examine corrections to a briefing, manuscript workflow, or course-production process and propose—never silently apply—the smallest rule change.

Evidence caution: This is a first-person practitioner account from the model provider’s own marketing organization. It demonstrates a credible pattern but does not provide an independent productivity evaluation.
